Charger Services has been operating in the Permian Basin since the company was founded in 2012. Civil and oilfield construction opened the doors in west Texas for Charger Services, while surface rig drilling and rathole conductor rigs followed in 2014. Since starting our drilling program Charger has pre-set approximately 4,000 surface holes and drilled dozens of saltwater disposal wells for operators all over the Midland And Delaware Basins. We currently have three rigs being utilized in our fleet, a fourth rig on standby, and four other rigs that are available for parts or to be refurbished if the market demands it.

Charger prides itself in utilizing Schramm Drilling rigs that are mobile, dependable, and cost efficient. We currently have three Schramm 200 Series rigs with capabilities of setting 13 3/8” (54#) casing down to 3300’, and our Schramm 500 series able to set 13 3/8” (54#) casing down to 8500’. We have previously set 20” surface casing for to satisfy customer needs. Our rigs are well maintained with regular maintenance and care and are staffed with well trained and experienced employees, with experienced mechanics on staff.

Chargers’ commitment to safety and quality allows us to staff our rigs with experienced workers that bring a culture of excellence to our rigs. Our drilling managers and superintendents have over 95 years of combined experience in the oil and gas drilling industry. We currently have six tool pushers who have all worked for Charger longer than six years and have drillers and crews with multiple years of experience working together.
